Day 4.

Fresh Choice Sucks.
The husband and I were out shopping on Thursday and needed to eat. Knowing all the food in the mall restaurants would likely put me over my calorie count for the week, we opted to visit our local Fresh Choice. We won't make that mistake again.

Here is my review:

Pros:
  • Each item lists its calorie count per serving
  • There are plenty of options for salads and their fixings
  • The highchairs are on wheels so you can tote your wee ones around the buffet with you.
  • There is a frozen yogurt buffet at the end
Cons:
  • It is overpriced ($27 for two meals and two drinks!)
  • The layout (in our local restaurant) is terrible. You walk in directly to the buffet. You have to get your food first before paying or even setting your things down.
  • The food is not appetizing
  • There is no protein
Overall conclusion: Go somewhere else. I might feel differently if even one of the cons was corrected, so if you must it's not the worst place I've eaten.

Day 3.

A workout. In my experience means a lot of work and usually out -- as in out of the house. Well on the recommendation of my fantastically thin friend ShellShockedMama I tried a new workout called Start Walking At Home by Leslie Sansone. There are three levels of this particular workout series. I started with the 1 mile.

Here is my review:

Pros
  • It can be done at home
  • (This one) only took 15 minutes.
  • Free! -- at least for the time being with Comcast OnDemand
  • Great for when the weather makes you want to curl up by the fire with a box of cookies and a Lifetime movie is crappy.
  • No one is there to see you make a fool out of yourself.
Cons
  • No one is there to push you when you are slacking
  • The 'episodes' that are free OnDemand are only there for a short time. Then new ones are released no matter if you're ready to move on or not.
  • You will look like a fool.
Overall conclusion:
Overall it's worth a shot. I might think differently if I had to pay before I tried it, but since the great people at Comcast realize not only am I a couch potato but also a cheapskate I think I might stick with it. For now.

Day 2.

I have decided that if my diet is going to truly work I need to be held accountable. This means I need someone to tell me to get up off my lazy ass and walk around the block. Or at least the house. The best way I can think to do that is to put myself out there. Really make it known that I am serious about this.

That being said. I have decided to have a full disclosure policy. Meaning I am going to share with you every last detail of my journey. Including my measurements.

So without further ado -- and barfing -- here are my starting measurements.

Weight: 167 lbs
Hips: 41.25 inches
Thighs: 24.75 inches
Waist:  34
Bust*: 40 inches
Neck: 13.25 inches

*Keep in mind I am breastfeeding, so this measurement may fluctuate. I will do my best to take the measurements at the same times (i.e. before or after pumping, etc.)

Day 1.

167
That is my current weight. It is the heaviest I have ever been.

Granted, I did have a baby 5 months ago, so I should be a little easier on myself, but when my current weight with an outside baby is the same as it was when I had a full term inside baby, it makes me kind of disgusted.

So here I go. I am on a mission to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight and then some. We'll see if I can get back to my pre-marriage weight!
